The Living History Museum
This award winning museum has evolved around the old school house, built in 1873, where the Millicent, Victoriana, Aboriginal and Natural History Rooms are located. The largest collection in South Australia of fully restored horse-drawn vehicles is an impressive feature of the museum. Other displays include the Shipwreck Room, restored farm implements, a T-Class locomotive, a coin-operated water wheel, blacksmith's shop and interactive drainage display.


Lake McIntyre
Lake McIntyre is a native wildlife and vegetation reserve created from an old quarry. The area is a haven for birds which are visible in their natural habitat through bird hides throughout the walk. Free BBQ's and picnic area, walking trails and toilets are all accessible by wheelchair. Admission: Free of charge.

Golfing

The Millicent Golf Club was rated No. 76 in Australia by the Australian Golf Digest in 2004 and is situated a short drive from Millicent. The course is located in a natural bush setting and its undulating watered fairways, true fast running greens and strategically placed bunkers makes play here a delight. Wildlife abounds on the course and players can see a variety of birdlife along with the recently released koalas. Come and play on one of South Australia's best country courses. Southern Ports Aviation
Operating from the Millicent Airport, Cessna or Tiger Moth flights are available for charter or sight seeing. Scenic flights are available to the destinations of your choice. View the vineyards of Coonawarra, Mount Gambier's Blue Lake or magnificent coastal scenery.

Millicent Art Gallery and Library
The Gallery has an A Class rating and features local, regional, state and national exhibitions on a regular basis. Visit one of the best country libraries in the state with free internet access and training. Take time out to research your family history and browse through the extensive local history collection.

Millicent Swimming Lake

A man made swimming lake that is filled each year from clear underground waters in time for our summer months. A sun-shade over the water, plenty of trees and grass, beach sand, free BBQ and kiosk are all available. Free entry

Millicent Visitor Information Centre

This fully accredited centre provides extensive up to date information on the region as well as surrounding areas. Souvenirs, maps, art and craft and local publications are also available for sale.
